chrisjopsonconsulting was invited by Meadow Residential to support their incumbent design architects with the design development of the Dulwich Hamlet Football Club stadium.
The existing stadium is in a poor state of repair and has poor sight lines that would prevent the club securing promotion. The ground cannot be redeveloped within the existing site as it will not fit, and so the key move is to relocate the football stadium onto an adjacent site.
The scheme also provides a range of community facilities including a MUGA and open air street gym both of which have open access and are free to use by anyone, and a leisure centre which provides the sports facilities found in the existing stadium, but in an improved and enlarged format.
