The Lviv Winter Olympic Park masterplan was proposed to be a very compact, full set of indoor venues for the ice sports, immediately adjacent to the
International Broadcast Centre and the Main Press Centre, in addition to the Athlete Village.
The legacy for each of the facilities, including completely temporary arenas, were identified at the outset of the planning process.
The sports and venues facilities planned for the Olympic Park masterplan were as follows:

- figure skating & short track speed skating
- figure skating training
- IBC & MPC
- ice hockey arena 1
- ice hockey arena 2
- ice hockey training venue
- main stadium
- medals plaza
- media village
- short track speed skating training venue
