Without doubt, the arena was the catalyst that lead me into my present career in sports architecture, designing large scale buildings and masterplans that handle large numbers of people.
This modest arena was designed and delivered on a tight budget, but we managed to squeeze a lot in for our money, paying an enormous amount of attention to the coordination of engineering disciplines to keep things neat and tidy on the inside.
